Still no idea for a Mother's Day gift? Something you've made yourself will go down well with every mom. Depending on what mom likes, needs for work or likes to do in her free time, we have prepared a few gift ideas for you.
Bookmarks for moms who like to read
Take a thick piece of paper or thin cardboard and cut a rectangle 6 cm wide and 20 cm long. Now you can decorate your bookmark as you wish:
- Color it with pencils, colored pencils, felt-tip pens or watercolors.
- Cut out one or more silhouettes from colored paper and glue them onto the bookmark.
- Glue small fabric shapes or confetti onto your gift.
- Stick sequins on with mica glue and decorate the whole thing colorfully.
Finally, cut a rectangle out of transparent adhesive foil, 8 cm wide and 22 cm long. Place your bookmark with the decorated side in the middle of the adhesive foil and fold back the protruding edges. This will keep your work of art beautiful and protected for a long time. If you're not sure, ask your dad, aunt or godmother if they can help you stick the foil on.
Mummy's clothespins
Use as many wooden clothespins as you like. You can now decorate them however you like:
- Paint them with pencils, colored pencils, felt-tip pens or watercolors.
- Glue beads, glitter, small feathers or cut-out figures onto the pegs.
- Give the clips a theme. For example, a zoo. Each bracket is a different animal. A family of dwarves, a group of Smurfs, a swarm of bees or butterflies or movie characters, for example from "Rico" or other movies you have seen together.
Store beautifully
Remove the label from a washed-out tin can. You can also use a glass jar for your container. Decorate your gift with different materials:
- Stick colorful tissue paper, wrapping paper or raffia string all around. You can now attach your decorations to this base. Stick colorful beads, glitter, plastic flowers (bought or cut out yourself), butterflies, feathers, etc. on the gift.
- Cut out a piece of paper the size and length of the container. Paint it with colored or felt-tip pens or watercolors. Once your picture is finished, you can stick it around the tin or jar.
- Instead of drawing a picture yourself, you can also cut out photos or pictures from magazines and make a collage. Finally, stick them around the container.
Have fun crafting and enjoy yourself.
