Would you like to give a seedling or a small plant as a gift, but you don't have a suitable pot or planter? You can do a lot with an empty tetra pack and give the packaging a second life at the same time. The foil inside the pack helps prevent water from leaking out and keeps everything outside the pack dry.
How to transform a Tetrapack into packaging for plants, cookies or other small items with the help of scissors.
1. take an empty tetrapack, open the four inserted corners and lay the pack out flat.
2. cut three to four centimeters off the top.
3. wash the packaging thoroughly with hot water.
4 Crumple the packaging to soften the material.
5 Start at the top edge to remove the outermost printed film. Make sure that you only remove one layer, otherwise the packaging will become somewhat unstable afterwards.
6 Once the entire printed layer has been removed, put the base back together and glue it down with hot glue if necessary.
7. fold the top edge outwards once or twice so that the inner layer provides a colorful accent and the finish is reinforced.
8. you can now decorate the outside with felt-tip pens or colored pencils, labels or other handicrafts. Fill your recycled Tetrapack either with soil and seedlings or small cacti, fill it with biscuits or other pastries or with sand and a candle.
Have fun expressing your creativity.
