Cool costumes for carnival or birthday parties!

Are you and your children still looking for a suitable costume for carnival or a birthday party? It's usually easy to put together great costumes from your own closet or that of your children with a few adaptations and a little DIY.

Here are a few creative suggestions that you can easily make yourself:

1. For a cat costume , you'll need a black T-shirt and black leggings. Add a pair of cat ears that you can make out of paper or felt and a hairband. Paint a snout and whiskers on the face with a little make-up.
2. A striped shirt, an eye patch that you can make from black paper and a scarf for the head are all you need for a pirate. A toy sword completes the outfit.
3. For a bee , you will need a yellow T-shirt and black leggings. You can make wings out of black and yellow fabric or paper and attach them to the shoulders with an elastic band. A headband with antennae is also a must.
4. A simple T-shirt with a logo of your choice, matching trousers and a cape made from an old bed sheet or cloth will transform you into a superhero in no time at all. Don't forget to make a matching mask!
5. A classic and simple costume is this one for a ghost! Take an old white bed sheet, cut eye holes in it and voilà - a ghost is already haunting the house.
