Salt dough pendants are a simple and great craft idea for the whole family. With little material, you can create individual ornaments for the tree, gifts or decorations.
Salt dough can be made quickly from just a few ingredients and is wonderfully versatile. Children and adults alike enjoy cutting out shapes and painting them. The tags can be given as Christmas decorations, gift tags or small works of art.
The dough is made by mixing flour, salt and water until a smooth mass is formed. Use cookie cutters to cut out stars, hearts or other motifs. For a personal touch, you can pierce holes for the ribbon with a wooden skewer or emboss patterns with stamps.
After baking in the oven, the tags are painted with acrylic paint and left to dry. Attached with a ribbon or thread, they are ready to hang up or give as a gift.
Crafting promotes fine motor skills and creativity and makes for great moments together - ideal for gray afternoons or the pre-Christmas period.
You will need
