Materials:
For the lilies you will need colored paper or felt (green for the leaves, white or pink for the petals), scissors, glue, a small LED light source (for example a tea light LED) and possibly wire or a small plastic cup as a base.
Procedure:
- Cut out several drop-shaped petals from the paper or felt. The size and number of petals depends on the desired size of the flower.
- Also cut out some larger leaves from green paper or felt. These should frame the petals.
- Start gluing the petals around the LED light source. Work from the inside out and overlap the petals slightly to create a natural look.
- Glue the green leaves to the underside of the flower so that they surround the petals.
- Place the LED light source in the center of the flower. If you are using a plastic cup as a base, attach the flower to it to ensure stability.
- Check that all parts are firmly attached and that the LED light is clearly visible. You can bend the petals slightly to give the flower more volume.
