Treat your family to a creamy refreshment with no added sugar. This avocado and coconut glacé brings a vacation atmosphere into your kitchen and surprises with its velvety texture.
When the sun is warming the balcony and the children are calling for ice cream, you can conjure up a natural sweet treat in the freezer with just a few ingredients. Ripe avocado provides a wonderfully creamy consistency, while coconut milk adds an exotic touch. The subtle sweetness comes solely from ripe bananas or dates, which give the ice cream depth and flavor.
Avocado contains valuable fats and tastes pleasantly mild in this combination. Together with coconut, it creates a harmonious combination that will win over even skeptical connoisseurs. A squeeze of lime juice adds freshness and rounds off the flavor. The result is an ice cream that looks light yet tastes full-bodied.
Look for ripe avocados that yield to light pressure. High-quality coconut milk without additives ensures the best taste. If you serve this ice cream as a snack or at the end of a barbecue, you will earn rave reviews at the table. Your family will enjoy a natural alternative to conventional ice cream from the store.
