Homemade almond hearts

Would you like to impress someone with a lovingly homemade gift? These almond hearts are a little declaration of love and are perfect as an Advent, Christmas or Valentine's Day gift. They are also suitable for children's hands, they are so easy!

Knead 250 g almond paste (baking marzipan) with 50 g chopped dried apricots . Spread a little powdered sugar on your work surface and roll out the almond paste to a thickness of about 7 mm. Use a heart cookie cutter to cut out as many almond hearts as you need to use up the dough. Melt 1 bar of dark chocolate in a bain-marie. Using a toothpick, dip the hearts into the glaze and allow to drip off. Place on baking paper and leave to dry for about 30 minutes. And the messengers of love are ready!

The almond hearts can be kept in the fridge for 3-4 weeks.
