Ingredients for Roasted Fennel
3 fennel bulbs
2 tablespoons olive oil
50 grams grated cheese
Salt
Pepper

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. 

Trim the fennel bulbs and cut them into wedges. 

Place the wedges in a gratin dish. 

Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. 

Sprinkle the cheese on top. 

Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown. 

Serve hot. 

 

Crisp Fennel Salad with Apple
2 fennel bulbs
1 red apple
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 teaspoon honey
Salt
Pepper

Preparation

Finely slice the fennel. 

Cut the apple into thin strips. 

Mix the lemon juice, oil, honey, salt, and pepper to make a dressing. 

Toss the fennel and apple with the sauce. 

Let it sit briefly, then serve. 

 

Sautéed Fennel with Herbs
2 fennel bulbs
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Salt
Pepper

Preparation

Slice the fennel bulbs into thin slices. 

Heat the butter and olive oil in a skillet. 

Sauté the fennel over medium heat for about 10 minutes. 

Season with salt and pepper. 

Sprinkle the parsley on top. 

Serve immediately. 

 

Tip
The tender fennel fronds make an excellent aromatic garnish and add a fresh touch to all three dishes. Serve with boiled potatoes, rice, or a crispy piece of bread.
