Homemade cranberry granola - a crunchy treat from your own kitchen

A fruity, crunchy granola with cranberries is perfect as a breakfast, snack or topping for yogurt and desserts.

If you value high-quality ingredients and natural taste, you can easily make granola yourself. The result is not only healthier than many ready-made mixtures, but can also be individually refined - perfect for shared kitchen moments with the family.

Ingredients for one tray:

  • 300 grams of fine rolled oats
  • 100 grams of nuts, for example almonds, hazelnuts or walnuts
  • 50 grams of sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds
  • 50 milliliters of neutral vegetable oil, for example HOLL rapeseed oil
  • 80 milliliters of liquid honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon or vanilla
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 grams of dried cranberries

Preparation steps:

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the tray:
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat). Line a baking tray with baking paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients:
Mix the rolled oats, coarsely chopped nuts, seeds, cinnamon and a pinch of salt thoroughly in a large bowl.
  3. Add the liquid ingredients:
The vegetable oil is poured over the dry ingredients together with the honey or maple syrup. The mixture is then stirred well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
  4. Bake the granola:
Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared tray and bake in the oven for around 25 to 30 minutes. Carefully turn the granola two to three times in between to ensure it is golden brown and crispy all over.
  5. Fold in the cranberries:
After baking, the granola must cool completely. Only then are the dried cranberries mixed in so that they do not dry out or burn in the oven.
  6. Store and enjoy:
The finished cranberry granola is stored in airtight jars or tins. This will keep it fresh and crunchy for several weeks. It tastes particularly good with natural yogurt, fresh fruit or on its own as a snack between meals.

Tip for little kitchen helpers:
Children can actively help with weighing, stirring and spreading on the tray. Preparing together is twice as much fun - and breakfast becomes a special experience.

Homemade granola is a delicious and healthy alternative to industrial muesli. If you pay attention to high-quality ingredients and enjoy experimenting, you can create new variations again and again!

Have fun preparing and enjoying it!
